Fo Yo Soul Entertainment/Zomba recording artist Kirk Franklin's latest full-length CD, Hero has been RIAA-certified platinum. The one-million-plus-selling CD debuted in the #1 position on two Billboard Magazine charts: Top Gospel Album and Top Christian Albums, upon its release in October 2005.

Described as «comfort food for the soul», in a review by the Associated Press, the CD demonstrated its crossover appeal when it debuted on the Billboard R&B Albums Chart and Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, as well.

HERO , the first release on Franklin's own Fo Yo Soul Entertainment label (in association with Zomba Gospel) features a host of musical all-stars including musical genius Stevie Wonder, Yolanda Adams, Sheila E., Dorinda Clark-Cole, Marvin Winans, tobyMac, Tye Tribbett, J. Moss and P.O.D.’s Sonny Sandoval, among others.

The first single release from the CD «Looking For You» a signature hype record featuring the classic Patrice Rushen sample. «Haven’t You Heard», became a summer anthem receiving airplay on gospel and R&B radio stations across the country. The follow-up single, «Imagine Me», is a moving anthem of victory and overcoming obstacles that encourages everyone to begin to see themselves through the eyes of Heaven and break through to the truth of who God says that they are.

The Grammy-nominated song has proven to be an instant classic, with critics and fans alike hailing the song as the latest career milestone for the music innovator, garnering him a 2007 Grammy® nomination for Best Gospel Song. Hero also received a 2007 Grammy® nom for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album.
